Hydrotherapy

A superb way to recover from injuries or to exercise harder – with the support and safety of water to protect your body.

How Hydrotherapy can help you

Hydrotherapy is the perfect treatment for you if you’re suffering from muscular tension, aching joints, pain, arthritis or rheumatism.  It is a proven, effective, natural treatment for these and other conditions.

Hydrotherapy is a term used to describe exercises that take place in water and are designed to improve your mobility, help relieve your pain/discomfort,  promote recovery from an injury or improve a pre-existing health condition.

Massive success

We have had MASSIVE success with Hydrotherapy exercise plans for people who have knee and back problems, people recovering from hip and knee surgery, as well as people with weight issues that limits the amount of land-based exercise they can accomplish.

Warm and Inviting

Our pool is kept at a constant 31-33 deg C and the whole Spa Pool environment generally is lovely and warm making it ideal for pool-based exercise plans which help ease your pain.

Try Hydrotherapy alongside one of our other treatments  – our experienced practitioners offer physiotherapy, acupuncture and massage. A full assessment will highlight the best treatment for you and it all takes place in our modern, on-site clinic and Spa Pool area.

The Best Approach for you

Whatever your problem, or the cause of it, we are confident that our highly qualified physiotherapists will be able to diagnose your condition, provide effective treatment and give you an exercise regime to aid recovery and help improve your life-style.
You can see one of our physios who specialise in Hydrotherapy exercises if you are recovering from an

operation or need help to cope better with a health condition.  Alternatively you can meet with one of our Fitness Instructors who use Hydrotherapy to alleviate knee and back problems, rebuilding strength before progressing onto the gym.

Water based Classes

We also run AquaFit classes in our warm pool area that Hydro patients often move onto.

These sessions are great fun,  harder than they look, and allow you to exercise at a level that is comfortable for you. Take a look at our Aqua timetable plus we also do a wide range of other classes such as Tai Chi Yoga & Pilates which are more gentle land based exercise options.

How do I book in for hydrotherapy?

Why not pop in for a coffee and a chat and see how we can improve your health together.

It’s very simple to arrange a consultation at a convenient time to suit you. We will diagnose your condition and suggest which form of treatment, if any, is appropriate to resolve your condition.

We work with all the major insurers, including BUPA, as well as accepting referrals from many consultants in the area, in addition to self-referrals.
